What is SPRAVATO® (esketamine) CIII nasal spray?
SPRAVATO® is a prescription treatment used along with an oral antidepressant to address Depressive symptoms in adults diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD) who have suicidal thoughts or behaviors.
SPRAVATO® is not approved as a pain reliever or anesthetic. Its safety and effectiveness for anesthetic use remain unknown. It is also unclear whether SPRAVATO® can prevent suicide or reduce suicidal thinking or behavior.
SPRAVATO® is not a substitute for hospitalization if your provider believes inpatient care is necessary, even if you feel better after the initial dose. Its safety and effectiveness in children have not been established.
