About Allyson Lawson, PMHNP-BC

Allyson Lawson, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment to patients of all ages. Her approach to mental health care is rooted in patient-centered, holistic, and collaborative principles. Allyson is dedicated to establishing a safe and comfortable environment for patients to discuss their mental health needs, emphasizing compassion, hope, and a non-judgmental attitude. She is also a strong LGBTQI-A ally, extending a warm welcome to individuals from all backgrounds.

In her role as a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner, Allyson's primary goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of her patients' life experiences in order to develop the most effective holistic treatment plans. She holds an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and earned her master's in nursing from the University of Colorado. Furthermore, she pursued a second Master's in Nursing from the University of Delaware, specializing in mental health. Allyson has a particular interest in providing care to patients who have experienced trauma, depression, and anxiety.
